The heat exchanger is used as part of the ISP-3600 ultrasonic system's flow-through configuration in order to precisely control the temperature of the processed liquid via chilled water.

Lead time to shipping: 2 weeks.

  • 4-pipe-in-shell heat exchanger with 1" sanitary main inlet/outlet, SS304
  • Two quick disconnect-to-3/8” hose barb adapters (for cooling water line) included
  • 1" sanitary 90-degree elbow fitting included, SS304
  • 1" sanitary to 1/2" hose barb 90-degree elbow adapter included, SS304
  • Two 1" sanitary clamps included, SS304
  • Two gaskets for 1” sanitary fittings included

Q1. How can I cool the liquid I am processing with my ISP-3600?

The temperature of the processed liquid can be precisely controlled by passing chilled water through the heat exchanger’s shell. Cold tap water can be used for this purpose if a suitable chiller (with a cooling capacity of at least 3600 W), is not available.

Q2. What type of hoses do I need for the cooling lines?

You will need 3/8" ID hoses for the cooling lines. Connect the hoses to the quick disconnect-to-3/8” hose barb adapters and plug them into the corresponding quick disconnect adapters on the heat exchanger's shell.

Use appropriate hose clamps to secure all hoses to the corresponding hose barbs.

Q3. Why is it necessary to use a heat exchanger in combination with the ISP-3600 reactor chamber?

Up to 3600 W of heat can be introduced into the processed liquid during high-amplitude ultrasonic exposure, which must be removed in order to prevent excessive temperature increase. Since the reactor chamber supplied with ISP-3600 does not have a cooling jacket (it would not be sufficiently effective), a dedicated heat exchanger is required.
