This electric air blower is used to cool the ACT-22-LSP piezoelectric transducer supplied with ISM's LSP-600 ultrasonic liquid processor configured in the flow-through mode. With this device, the heat generated in the transducer during continuous operation is efficiently removed, allowing the processor to work continuously for extended periods of time (up to about 1 - 2 hours).
Lead time to shipping: 2 weeks.
- Overall dimensions: 6.6" x 3.9" x 3.9"
- Electric air blower with 26 cfm maximum air flow
- Material: ABS plastic
- 320 W rated power
- Speed controller
- Air hose
Q1. Can I use this air blower to cool the BSP-1200 and ISP-3600 transducers?
No. This air blower can only be used with the LSP-600 transducer (ACT-22-LSP). Transducers supplied with our BSP-1200 and ISP-3600 processors are water-cooled.
Q2. Do I have to actively cool my ACT-22-LSP transducer with air?
You do not, unless the unit operates for extended periods of time. The ACT-22-LSP transducer can operate for about 30 minutes without cooling, which is typically sufficient for batch-mode experiments and short flow-through runs. If your application requires greater than 30 minutes of continuous processing, using this air blower is strongly recommended.
Q3. Should this air blower be used whenever the processor operates or only as needed?
This air blower must be turned on when the temperature of the transducer's front mass (where it meets the horn) approaches 45 °C (113 °F), as indicated by the thermometer sticker attached at that location. You may, however, choose to use this device throughout the entire processing.
